UPDATED AUGUST 2020
The Midwest is a region of welcoming and vibrant communities made up of creative and hard-working people. We will get through this difficult time together creatively. At Arts Midwest, we will continue to monitor and respond to new information about the COVID-19 pandemic, and will share updates as we develop and adjust our plans. Please contact us with any questions or suggestions for how we can be most useful to you during this difficult time.

Cut through the clutter using our short weekly emails with the most important Midwestern and national COVID-19 information.
Relief and Resilience Support
We are distributing new funds to organizations across our region as they navigate emergency relief needs as well as longer-term resilience planning. Learn about our partnership with our State Arts Agencies and the National Endowment for the Arts to distribute CARES Act Funds and our partnership with our fellow United States Regional Arts Organizations, The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, and an anonymous donor on the United States Regional Arts Resilience Fund.
Grant Deadlines Extended
Our grantees and partner communities are facing unprecedented circumstances. We have extended the grant activity deadlines for the 2019-2020 cycles of Shakespeare in American Communities, National Endowment for the Arts Big Read, and Arts Midwest Touring Fund until December 31, 2020 to support our communities not only as they navigate COVID-19, but also as they seek ways to come together, to reconnect, and to heal after this period of social distancing ends.
Arts Midwest Conference To Move Online
We are actively exploring how to provide a meaningful gathering experience for our community this year. Please learn more by visiting our 2020 Arts Midwest Conference page.
World Fest and Folkefest Tours Postponed
We have postponed all planned 2020 World Fest and Folkefest activities until further notice. We will work with our partner communities to resume this programming once we can do so safely for the communities, schools, and artists involved.
Changes to Our Day-to-Day Business
We have transitioned to remote work until further notice. Individual staff members can still be reached by email or phone as usual (visit our staff page for contact information). We are working to adapt Arts Midwest-hosted panels, trainings, and cohort meetings to be virtual. Details on specific events will be shared with registered participants.
We are all in this together,
