Michael Johnson named Arts Midwest’s first Community Engagement Manager

We’re excited to share that Michael Johnson was recently named Arts Midwest’s first community engagement manager. Wearing multiple hats since he joined our team in 2017, Michael has taken a lead role on Creating Connection program, been a crucial voice in the design and launch of We the Many, and has lent his community organizing experience and supportive attitude to just about every team on staff.

That commitment to relationship building is now officially part of Michael’s purview, and he says he’s excited about the opportunities to help Arts Midwest shape our engagement strategy.

“This role is an exciting opportunity for Arts Midwest to deepen our relationships with even more people from across the region. I’m beyond thrilled to get to work co-creating creative experiences that are responsive to the unique cultural assets and challenges of our diverse communities.”

Thanks, Michael, for all your thoughtfulness and support!

Chelsea Brown promoted to Development Associate

Rocking her second promotion in fewer than two years, Chelsea Brown was recently named Development Associate for Arts Midwest.

Chelsea joined the Arts Midwest team in 2018 as administrative assistant and has brought strategic thinking, incredible efficiency, and a solid dose of humor to work every day since then. Her latest promotion is in recognition of her amazing organization skills and her commitment to helping Arts Midwest build and strengthen relationships with our grantees, partners, and donors.

Thanks for being such a rockstar, Chelsea!
