We are delighted to announce Erin Brueggemann has been promoted to ArtsLab program director. Erin joined Arts Midwest as program manager for ArtsLab in 2016, and since then has worked to advance the program’s mission to nurture leadership in the arts and culture sector.
Her many years of experience supporting the field and her dedication to artists & arts leaders in our region make Erin a great choice to lead ArtsLab forward into a new era.
“We are thrilled Erin will be leading ArtsLab” says Adam Perry, Vice President for Strategy and Programs at Arts Midwest. “She is a talented, authentic voice in our community that cares deeply about empowering and connecting people from every corner of the creative sector to chart new pathways to success together. She is the right choice, in the right moment, to lead ArtsLab in this pivotal time of change.”
Erin comes into the position with much experience building community, something she focused on as outreach director for McNally Smith College of Music. She has also supported artists and arts organizations through her work as a program officer at the Minnesota State Arts Board, and with the Percent for Art program at the Wisconsin Arts Board. Erin holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin Madison’s Bolz Center for Arts Administration and a Bachelor of Music in saxophone performance from Western Michigan University.
