The Ohio Arts Council released a seven-volume workbook series for arts organizations this month entitled Focusing the Light: The Art and Practice of Planning. The series provides those who work in the arts and nonprofits with strategies, tips, and techniques for successful project planning, advocacy and evaluation.
In addition to the text series, the Ohio Arts Council has also developed the Focusing the Light iTool. This software (for Windows and Mac) creates visual and text snapshots of programs. It can be used during the planning process and also to present, implement and evaluate a plan.
