Sylvia Kaufman is director of Corporate Affairs and a director of Amstore Corporation, a national manufacturer of interiors for retail stores. She serves on several boards including Arts Midwest; the American Friends of the Shalom Hartman Institute of Jerusalem, Israel; The National Councils of the Aspen Art Museum; Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Aspen; and the Aspen Music Festival and School. She is Co-Chair of the Kaufman Interfaith Institute Advisory board at Grand Valley State University. She initiated Arts Midwest World Fest before it became a program of Arts Midwest. Sylvia is the recipient of the 1989 Moment Magazine Community Service Award; the 1989 recipient of the Distinguished Citizen Award from Muskegon Community College; the 1989 recipient of the Commendation for Service to the Humanities Award from the Friends of Hackley Public Library; and a 2000 U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs Millennium International Volunteer Award; and she has been recognized for her contribution toward improving society by promoting a better understanding of principles of fairness and justice by the Muskegon County Bar Association.
Sylvia has been a board member since 1996 and serves as Secretary. Syliva is a member of the Executive Committee.
