Brian J. Bonde is a consultant and trainer to non-profit organizations through his firm, Advanced Certified Fundraising in Sioux Falls, SD. Brian provides services in fundraising, capital campaigns, staff development, board development, marketing communications and as well as being a noted speaker. He has been involved in raising nearly $100 million for several organizations. He holds the highest professional certificate in his field, the Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive (ACFRE). This certification by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), the largest community of professional fundraisers in the world, is available only to exceptional senior-level fundraisers and has been earned by only 100 fundraisers internationally. He has been recognized with the AFP International Award for Excellence in Fundraising and the national Showcase Award for Planned Giving from the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP).
Brian has held senior positions with Sanford Health, Children’s Care Hospital, Augustana College, Media One Marketing, and Macy’s of California. Brian is the national Vice Chair of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Foundation for Philanthropy and also serves on the South Dakota Arts Council, the regional cabinet of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy. He is past president of the South Dakota Arts Council, South Dakotans for the Arts, the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society, Sioux Falls Community Playhouse, Sioux Empire Arts Council and the South Dakota Association of Fundraising Professionals. He has served on many other non-profit boards, most recently the Washington Pavilion Performing Arts Center and Black Hills Playhouse. He has been on various non-profit boards for over 40 contiguous years.
Brian and his wife, Kaija are partners in The Comfort Theatre Company and members of the musical group “East of Westreville.” They have four children and live in Sioux Falls, SD and occasionally in Rochford in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
Brian has been a board member since 2010 and serves on the External Relations Committee.
