NAMP Conference Travel Scholarships

November 12-15, 2011 Louisville, Kentucky

The 2011 National Arts Marketing Project annual conference offers an excellent opportunity for national networking and broad learning opportunities on arts marketing, new technology, sponsorship and fundraising to help provide you the tools you need to reach audiences, funders, and new partners. Arts Learning Xchange is providing financial support for up to 30 Twin Cities arts professionals to attend this conference. Visit ArtsMarketing.org for conference details. Arts professionals selected for this travel scholarship award will receive the following:

  • Round trip coach airfare to Louisville, Kentucky.
  • Hotel guest room and tax the nights of November 12, 13, and 14.
  • Registration to the NAMP conference.
  • Access to gatherings: pre-conference, on-site, and post-conference.

Incidental travel costs (transportation to and from airports, food not provided by the conference, etc.) are the responsibility of the recipient and not included in the award. It is the responsibility of the recipient to follow the travel schedule established by Arts Learning Xchange. Any costs associated with changes made to flight reservations are the responsibility of the recipient

Scholarships will be provided in the future for the 2012 National Arts Marketing Project conference.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must be:

  • Employed by a 501c(3) arts organization that is located in the 15 county Twin Cities Metro area.
  • Regular full-time employee employed a minimum of one year with their current employer. Regular part-time employees may be eligible. Please call Arts Midwest at 612.238.8050 to inquire.
  • Able to travel/take time off during the time period outlined.

Note: If you have received this scholarship in the past, you are ineligible to apply. However, colleagues from your organization are eligible to apply.

To strengthen post-conference implementation of learning gained from the NAMP conference, you are strongly encouraged to apply with a colleague from your organization. Up to two employees from an organization are eligible to receive the award in 2011.

Employees of Advanced Training Program and Wallace Excellence Award recipient organizations are not eligible to apply.

Program requirements

Selected scholarship recipients must:

  • Attend all days and participate in every available session at the NAMP conference.
  • Participate in the pre- and post-conference gatherings.
  • Submit a Final Report sharing and reflecting on your experiences.

The post-conference gathering may include sharing your experience with other arts professionals in an event open to all. Final Reports excerpts may also serve as case studies on the Arts Learning Xchange or NAMP Web sites.

Selection

Eligible applicants will be selected on a first come, first awarded basis. Priority may be given to organizations not represented in the past.
