Birdie helps coordinate local, state, and national granting and training programs. Specifically, she provides assistance to the National Endowment for the Arts national granting program, The Big Read, providing assistance to applicants and grantees, manages distribution of educational materials and funds, assists with the grantee selection process, and participates in general program planning. In addition, Birdie supports ArtsLab and Arts Learning Xchange programs including grantee communications, event coordination, and policy planning.
